Off on my first Camino tomorrow and I'm trying to save weight, do I really need knife, fork, spoon, plate and mug? May 2, 2017

Hey Kathie - no need for plate or mug. Replace knife and fork with a plastic spork. Buen Camino!

Thanks Wily, I've ditched them all, backpack still weighs 8kilos with 2 bottles of water. I'm sure I will start throwing things out en route!

Hey Kathie - I ditched quite a few things between SJPP and Pamplona last year. Just back from walking the Portugués with a backpack that only weighed 6 kg including water. It was a dream to carry. Enjoy your Camino!!
