Oh wow! That did sound like a huge challenge. Other than a few blisters and sore legs, we were fine. We only saw a few people from that first day in Santiago (a mother & daughter team and Iole, a Brazilian woman). We also met Olaf from ??? The day he decided to drop out about half way. Everyone else must have been much faster, slower, stopped walking or lost in my memory. That didn't stop us from thinking of them just about every day. Congratulations on overcoming your challenges on your Camino and good luck on the next one.

      Your fellow pilgrim,
      Michael

I do remember your introduction. I appreciate you remembering me; I did have my trials on Camino Frances. I thought I had badly sprained my ankle on the way to Puente la Reine. I walked on it a week before I was told I broke it; I received the camino mantra given to most injuries of "you cannot walk for 3 days." My ankle was taped up and I followed the instructions. I made it and feel it was a blessing. I want and am planning to walk the Camino Via de la Plata, but do not know when at this time.
