I thought I'd post up some of the eargasm (as my son calls it) that I'll be taking for the times when I need some inspiration.

I'd be interested in listening to anyone else's music library.

Counting crows - August and everything after (live at town hall)

Dave Matthews And Tim Reynolds - Live At Luther College

    Ben howard - Every kingdom

    Arctic Monkeys - Am

Ben sollee - Learning to bend

Bon Iver - Any of there albums

David Gray - Life in Slow Motion

    Damien Rice - O

Edie Brickell & New Bohemians - Shooting rubber bands at the stars

Elbow - The Take Off And Landing Of Everything

    La Roux - La Roux

Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See

    Once - Soundtrack

Ryan Adams - Ashes & Fire

The Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker

Radiohead - Pablo honey - The bends - Ok Computer - Kid A

Citizen cope - every waking moment

Some other songs I like not from albums:

Citizen Cope - 107 Degrees - featuring Alice Smith

Billy bragg and wilco - feed of man

Alice smith - fool for you

    Awol nations - Sail

    Bruce springsteen - missing

    Can - vitamin C

Crazy - Gnarls barkley cover by Ray Lamontagne

Fondu au noir - Coeur de pirate

It's All Over by The Broken Family Band

    José Gonzales - Heartbeats

Mulatu Astatke - Yègellé Tezeta (My Own Memory) - Melynga

Zaz - Eblouie par la nuit

A few links to my favourites here if anyone is interested:

bagpipes.....I like bagpipes as well, marching bagpipes....
I have never heard of most of this music you have here....except arctic monkeys and bruce springsteen

and there's me thinking you might be a Mozart or puccini, little bit of bellini or verdi perhaps.

In albergue Paderborn in Pamplona they played (ABBA )at 06:00am...I liked the 06:00am part..not the music..supertrooper la la la, ringing and repeating in my head for the rest of the day...La la la supertrooper..

I do play the guitar, but I'll not be taking it.

Do you have any hobbling music, I'll probably relate to that a bit better :)

I have a very diverse taste in music.....hopefully people will post here and I can find some other jems to listen to.

    :)

its compulsory on your first camino......to bring your guitar...

when (hint)I discover(hint) how too(hint) get vids on here(hint) I shall share some of my more refined officer and a gentlemans music on here.

Just because I look like I need to be wearing a lead is merely camouflage & distracts from my more refined sensitive side

I don't take music with me, but if I come across live music then I will pause and enjoy it.

I am a fan of the traditional Celtic music of Galicia, especially the top gaita player Carlos Nunez and also the band Luar na Lubre who have lots of video clips on youtube.

Thanks @louis the only way I get to hear about decent music these days is from others.

    An oldie

@highlander if you want to add YouTube or most other music site all you have to do is paste the URL in the post. He that helps.

When I met and walked with Anna and Nora they used to sing as they walked some days, it was quite beautiful.

And this week I have been listening to a Celtic Chillout album and this guy, who you might know, well if you have lived in Ireland anyway

    Hi there Highlander

I thought the favourite marching song on the Camino is:

It's a long way to Santiago
It's a long way to go
It's a long way to Santiago
To the sweetest place I know
    Goodbye el Camino
    Goodbye everywhere
It's a long long way to Santiago
    But my heart lies there

    Mike

    Louis,
I am a huge Richard Thompson fan. He amazes me. My husband I just saw him play in October, a spiritual experience for sure.

    My two cents....

Brandi Carlile is from my neck of the woods. If you ever have the opportunity do see here live, she is a great performer with a good soul. She plays quite often in the UK. And, she can definitely rock it too.

Just wanted to add a little female energy to this wonderful thread.... ;)

Okay, one more.... This is my Camino song.... It has been "my song" more many years including hiking to Half Dome on the John Muir Trail in Yosemite.
