Paris is probably as good an entry point as any (Assuming that you are walking The Camino Frances from Saint John Pied de Port) as you can catch a train from Charles De Gaul Airport and with one change, get to Saint John Pied de Port.

There are other options like London and Madrid, but these involve either long journeys by bus and train from Madrid, or a budget flight to Biarritz from London, so unless you are making a massive savings, Paris is probably your best choice.

Flying home, Probably Madrid as you can get there by either flight, train or bus from Santiago de Compostela

    Good Luck and Buen Camino

Charlotte, The via de la Plata starts in Seville. The advice above has assumed you want to walk the Camino Frances. From the US a flight to Madrid would probably be best then onward to Seville. There are many chrap shuttle flights between european cities so it might be best to get the cheapeast trans-atlantic ticket and then a cheap hop to Seville.
