Could anyone comment please on the punctuality of the ALSA coach from SDC to Porto. It leaves SDC at 12.00hrs and shows an arrival at Porto Airport of 15.00hrs. I have a departure at 16.55hrs. I know it is a bit tight but I was hoping to fit in an extra night in SDC. My feeling at the moment is travel the day before and enjoy Porto.
Any comment from people who have used the service would be helpful.

If your flight is a departure at 16.55hrs and its not 16.55hrs check-in, then it is very tight !!

I have used ALSA busses many times and they do tend to run more or less on time, but sometimes delays are outside their control, accidents and traffic jams, so if your flight does depart at 16.55hrs, then personally, this wouldn’t leave enough leeway for me.

    Good Luck and Buen Camino

    Thanks for that Rob,
My gut feeling was travel the day before but last year I enjoyed SDC and didn't feel I had long enough to take in the city and its views.
    70 days and counting.
    Buen Camino

Bisnick, I have taken this bus and it was right on time. In addition, I have travelled on ALSA many of times and have yet to have any issues. Barring any weird occurrence you should be fine.

Cheers for that, did you find plenty of leg room on the coach?

We also plan to go from SDC to Porto. What is the price of the bus? I didnt realise it was only 3 hours to Porto!

    Janine,
    It is 33 euro.
    Departing 12.00hrs Santiago.
Arrives 15.15hrs Porto but drops into the airport 15 mins earlier.
Actual trip is 4hrs 15mins due to hours difference between Spain and Portugal.
You can book it on alsa.es website. All in English.
