Rather than Vigo to Redondela -Pontevedra anyone crossed by ferry to Cangas or Moana and walked that way. Area looks beautiful.

toadoftoadhall: Last year on the camino portuguese we arrived in vigo, and took the ferry across to Cangas- because we had stayed there after our Camino del norte in 2015. We stayed 2 days for me to catch up on work. Then up to Bueu, and along the water to Pontevedra. Beutiful scenery- but some hills from Cangas to Bueu. Others have gone along to Moana and up the inside route on roads, otr along the southern coast. If you want to spend a day hiking the region go along to Aldan and San Cibran. We did not see any peregrinos once we left Vigo for Cangas, mind you we had only seen ~2o peregrinos in total, but we had stayed exclusively on the coastal route. And after Pontevedra we took the spiritual variant, which went along the north shore of the ria or inlet- on both days we looked at where we would be the next day, or where we had been! Lovely countryside all round!

I guess it is off the camino trail, but looks better than walking through Vigo and on.
    Thanks for the suggestions.
