My step-son and I are leaving Los Angeles on Monday for Paris and we eventually get to St. Jean Pied de Port on Thursday to start walking on Friday the 15th. Needless to say I am very excited about this adventure that has, with all the planning and training, dominated my life for the last 3 years. Now I just have to do it!

By the way if you're interested in seeing how this 63 year old manages (and see if he can keep up with his very fit 33 year old step-son) I will post from time to time on Facebook & Instragram.

But my real purpose for writing this little note is that I just wanted to thank all the people who have given me such great advice to my questions (and so many other pilgrims). To read about everyone's experiences has been so valuable to me. Thank you, thank you, a hundred times thank you!

I wish you Buen Camino. Enjoy your pilgrimage. I looking forward to your posts, but remember - first of all it is your time (for you) so posts are not most important.. (it means - write your posts only sometimes, only few, and more you will write after you returned home... You will see that few days after returning you will write differently than on the way - it will be about pain and blisters too, but most importantly it will be "from your heart" - you will focusing on different things.
